Age 4 Update

I sure wish that I was better at keeping up with updating Willow's blog. I am busy being a mom to a spunky four year old though! She keeps me on my toes. It is exhausting some days!! My foxy little lady. Her favorite phrase is, "What the fox say?" Her Great Grandpa got mad at her, because he thought she was swearing. Because, she would. Like I said, she's a sassy girl. A sassy girl with a hair cut too, since she decided that she needed to give herself a cool hair cut. I swore it would never happen, until it did.

She is still obsessed with all things baby. She loves babies. She loves pregnant women. If there is a baby involved, she's all in. She takes after her mama. She melts at those sweet baby toes. Because she likes to watch Grey's Anatomy with mama and daddy, she now wants to be an OBGYN and deliver babies. Or a fetal surgeon. What four year old wants to be a fetal surgeon. Mine apparently. She uses her American Girl dolls and makes them pregnant so she can practice being a doctor. Her older brother, Dom pretends to be pregnant for her too. And she even practices CPR on them. She would be an amazing doctor. She has a heart of gold. She will be an incredible mom some day too. I am excited, although I can wait.... I can wait a long, long time. LOL She is already growing up much too fast.

She has an obsession with zombies. She loves to watch The Walking Dead. She always asks, "Can we watch an episode?" She calls the show episode. haha It's because mama always asked daddy to "put an episode on."

Willow is a beautiful green eyed angel. . . She's just not very peaceful or angelic! haha She is rough and tumble. But oh so beautiful. She has done a wonderful job modeling for some boutiques and small businesses.

Willow LOVES horses. We lived on a ranch for a while with horses. We loved visiting them. She is great with animals. She just really loves being outside; horse back riding, hiking, playing in the dirt.

She is influenced by her brothers!! hahaha Cowgirl boots and attitude to spare. We are so blessed to have sassy Willow butt in our lives. She is her daddy's Buggy and her mama's babygirl.

Willow turns THREE

Can you believe it?! I know I can not. My baby girl is growing up so fast. You should hear the sass that comes from that little girl. But I couldn't even begin to explain with words how loving and caring she is. You would have to see her first hand with babies or animals. The love in her heart is astounding. I thank God for her every day.

She LOVES Frozen. What little girl doesn't?! It was the highest grossing cartoon movie to date. But seriously, she watches it on average 2-3 times a day when we let her! "Let it GO" is the only song she sings any more. She sure does love singing for every one though. It is the sweetest thing. She is going to be a star some day.

And here she is; the star of the day! My sweet little Willow is now a vibrant, expressive, adorable TWO year old! I can not believe that she has grown so fast into this little person. Every day she learns some thing new. The words and sentences that she is saying is astonishing. Not to mention her love for football. "Football on now", Willow tells the waitress. We will keep working on, "Please" little lady. Love you to the moon and back.

Willow is turning 2 and becoming a big sister!

My sweet, sweet Willow is going to be 2 in a couple of weeks and then she will become a big sister! I can not believe it. She is my little bitty baby. Willow and I have always had an amazing relationship, even if she has become a huge daddy's girl and foot ball  fan! I loved all of the time I got to spend nursing her, holding her and being near her while she grew into this beautiful little toddler. Now she is talking up a storm and has grown into her own little person. Her personality shines through and she is not afraid to show you who she is. Willow is a smart little cookie who has learned how to stand up for herself and get what she wants. It is funny how she runs the show with her brothers and sister! I hope that determination and stubbornness is used for good some day! Karl and I had a day recently where the older three were with grandma, so Willow came with us out to eat. As soon as we sat down she started demanding football. She told the waitress over and over again, "football game on". I think she is going to be Daddy's little Packer football buddy! Her daddy has always hoped for a sweet little daddy's girl and he loves that Willow loves him so much. I am so proud of her and I can't wait to see her personality develop more and more. I know she will be a tom-boy since horses and tractors are her favorite. But I think she will be a great mama too, because she loves nothing more than her babies. She is so sweet and sensitive with her little dolls. She pushes them in her strollers and covers them to keep them warm. She even tries to nurse them! Makes me a proud mama. I know she will be an amazing big sister next month when Linc arrives.

Willow's first year!

Willow is such a smiley baby! I can not get over how happy she always is. Every where we go people call her smiley, so that has become her nickname.

She is a little Daddy's girl. Both of the girls have him wrapped around their fingers.

Willow tries pickles and LOVES them! Just like her mama.

Willow had so much fun her very first Christmas! She was really into ripping open presents. Some of her uncles presents were held hostage and needed some extra tape, because Willow got her little fingers on them. She was more excited about ripping open the wrapping paper than finding out what the toys were! Simple joys.

Willow loves the park! Her favorite thing to do is to swing. It started to get too cold to go to the park, but we took one last trip before the winter so that her big brother Douglas and mama could get some pictures of her playing. She was so happy to be there, even though it was cold and we couldn't stay long. We are looking forward to spring. She will be able to walk with her adorable bare baby toes in the green, green grass.

Animal crackers in my shoes! Willow and her sister love to eat animal crackers. Natalie puts on little shows with the animals and Willow love to sit back and watch. It is adorable.

Willow has been in a few pageants lately and has won some pretty amazing crowns! She will always be the prettiest princess in her daddy and mommy's eyes. There aren't girls prettier than ours. We have the sweetest little camera ham's ever. Willow must think the flash on the camera is funny, because any time the camera comes out she starts smiling! I have been able to get quite a few adorable photographs of my little smiley!

Willow and Georgia have a special connection. They both love each other so much. Georgia is the best dog. We are so lucky to have her. I am excited to see Georgie and Lolo grow up together! I can not believe how big they both have gotten. I remember bringing Georgie home from the shelter. She sat on big sister Natalie's lap she was so tiny. Little Willow was still in mama's tummy and Georgie used to snuggle up close. That's why I think they are best friends.

Willow took her first steps at 10 months! She started walking better by 11 months! She can walk across the room now. She is almost a year old now and I am sure she will soon start to ditch that crawling stuff and walk all the time like her big brothers and sister.

Willow is another lil' country girl! We are so happy to be living in the country. The girls love the horses next door.

Fall in the country! We love our new town. It was beautiful in the fall.

Willow's first fall! A sweet photo session with her siblings, Natalie, Dominyck and Douglas.

Willow in her new convertible car seat, rear facing. =) She loves it.

Another cute fall picture down by the Willow River. We love taking the kids for walks down there. It is so peaceful. She wasn't as excited that day to take pictures, because she needed a nap but I still think this one was so sweet.

Mama and baby Willow, 4 months old. Time flies!

Taking advice from nature

Nature holds the secrets of the most admirable personality traits. Nature is beautiful. Nature is strong. Nature is kind. Nature is slow paced and patient. Nature is whole and organic. Nature is nurturing and fulfilling. Nature is graceful and artistic. Nature is unique, because it is full of textures and imperfections.
We embrace her beauty. We embrace her imperfections. We embrace nature, so we should strive to be like her.
Willow, my dear, sweet and beautiful daughter is the closest thing I know to nature. She is pure and whole. She is a beautiful soul. She brightens up my life with her sweet and patient disposition. I look at her calmness and I want to have that in my life. I am blessed with nature. I am blessed with Willow.
